peace begins with you

Even saying the word peace washes a wave of calm over a person. We seek out peace to cocoon, replenish, or just catch our breath. Here is where it begins. When we are able to capture inner peace holding it steady within us for longer and longer stretches, we become better equipped to not only recognize peace on a larger scale but also become real contributors to its existence.

Inner and outer peace have a tightly woven relationship. By cultivating inner peace, you are able to ferry ripples of your creation infusing it into those you touch and the events surrounding you. This is the purest form of peace, because it’s sparked from an authentic inception.

Oddly enough, there can be something unsettling about peace. Some fear that it is merely the calm before the storm. Others feel discomfort anxiously biting at their heels, because peace is not a natural state for them. We unconsciously invite in discord to put us back into a position we recognize. Familiarity reigns.

You should not look to “find” peace. Finding peace is a misnomer. We should allow peace to live within us, then spread outward. From that point you will be carried forward with a new found purpose in life. Clarity reigns.

You know what peace feels like. You need to remember how it showed itself to you. Recreate it over and over again. Allow peace to claim its place for extended periods of time. Become comfortable in its existence. Make peace a facet of your life, not just an occasional occurrence.

Imagine if everyone around approached life in this same way. How would the world look? All you have to do is begin. A peace-FULL life is ahead.
